Delivering Health & Hope to the World

About us

Project C.U.R.E. was founded in 1987 to address the staggering shortage of medical resources around the world. Since our humble beginnings in a garage in Colorado, Project C.U.R.E. has become the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 130 countries. Each week Project C.U.R.E. delivers approximately three to five semitruck-sized ocean containers packed with the medical equipment and supplies desperately needed to save lives in hospitals and clinics in resource-limited countries. In addition, each year hundreds of healthcare professionals travel with Project C.U.R.E. to provide medical treatment to communities in need and training to those dedicated to serving them. Project C.U.R.E. is supported by over 25,000 volunteers annually and operates distribution warehouses in seven U.S. cities. In addition to our global work, Project C.U.R.E. pivoted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the need for PPE and medical equipment in the U.S. Since March 2020, Project C.U.R.E. provided more than 15 semitruck loads of medical aid, which equates to 4.5+ million pieces and nearly $5 million of PPE for healthcare workers and first responders. Project C.U.R.E. continues on the frontline of the battle against the pandemic by providing millions of dollars of COVID-19 aid on a weekly basis.

When Project C.U.R.E. team leader Amy Theall traveled to Darkham, Mongolia, the first thing she packed was a C.U.R.E. Kit. As part of her volunteer service, Amy is Houston's "C.U.R.E. Kit Packer" so she knows firsthand the impact these kits can have.   Neonatologist, Dr. Sarah Coors asked a few of her friends from the States to come and help support her training efforts. The Neonatal Resuscitation Provider course is a certification that all NICU, L&D doctors, and nurses need to know to help babies after being delivered. In Mongolia, the simulations that go along with that course are not routinely done, however, thanks to this dedicated team, training is reinforced when professionals like Amy conduct simulations.    Ensuring safe deliveries and strong and healthy babies in Mongolia. Project C.U.R.E. is honored to support the work of these dedicated healthcare professionals ❤️

I am now in my 4th week post layoff. As many in my same situation, I have experienced anger, denial and a number of other emotions. An epic waste of energy…. so I have focused on projects that I have ignored, spending time with family and searching for a new role where I can impact an organization that values people and customers. I am now able to spend more time at Project C.U.R.E. and recently I learned how to test ventilators that I know will impact someone’s life in the world. Something great will happen soon and my value will be recognized….for those in the same boat…..keep busy, keep applying and keep being you.

30,000 volunteers make Project C.U.R.E. possible. 2 of them need to be celebrated. It takes a village. Today we received 4 donated wheelchairs from Wheelchairs for Charity in partnership with Outback Team Building & Training. Thank you for this donation. Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers Charles G. Irion and Doug Geist who generosity donated their time to make this possible. Together, we're making a meaningful impact on healthcare accessibility. #ProjectCURE #Gratitude #CommunityEffort"

🌟 An Exciting Collaboration Unveiled! 🌟 We're thrilled to announce that Regis University Guatemala Interfaith Medical Service Project and Project C.U.R.E. are joining forces to deliver lifesaving medical supplies and equipment to Coban, Guatemala! Under the leadership of Dr. Lauri Pramuk and her dedicated medical team, future healthcare undergraduate students will embark on a transformative mission to serve the local community for a week. As the Regis team prepares for their journey, Project C.U.R.E. extends our warmest wishes for safe travels and a profoundly impactful week in Coban. Together, we're making a significant difference in global healthcare. #RegisUniversity #ProjectCURE #GlobalHealthcareMission 🌍 "Regis University has partnered with a local Colorado non-profit, Project C.U.R.E. to fund a medical container for the community of Coban, Guatemala. We started fundraising for the $30K needed to ship the pod last November and to my astonishment we met that goal in April.  The pod will outfit 6 small ministry of health clinics around Cobán with basic medical equipment.  This investment in healthcare infrastructure has the potential to completely change the trajectory of so many lives in the area.  This is what we are talking about with this project when we talk about building capacity. " Dr. Pramuk

Have you heard?? Sarah Haji, a student in Houston, Texas, has taken the initiative to start her own fundraiser on the behalf of Project C.U.R.E. ❤️ “I first volunteered at Project C.U.R.E.’s Houston warehouse during the pandemic, where I had the opportunity to help sort donated medical supplies that would be packed in a container and shipped to Haiti. Project C.U.R.E.’s mission of sharing medical resources in areas of dire need resonated with me tremendously. My fascination by their team and their ability to execute sparked my decision to join their cause and become a volunteer, helping arrange events to support the cause through my school’s Medical Club” says Sarah. Find the link in our comments to support Sarah reach her goal of $10,000 by July 31, 2024!

Stryker employees had a great time volunteering at Project C.U.R.E's Chicago Distribution Center, where they prepared medical supply shipments that will be distributed to communities in need all over the world.  The passion they brought to the volunteer service is greatly appreciated and we look forward to the continued partnership as we work to advance access to healthcare and healthcare technology globally!
